A full assessment will be conducted at the initial appointment. This will allow for a better understanding of the needs of the client in order to create a more effective treatment plan. The massage session length will be dictated by the length of time used for assessment.
Assessment times vary with each individual and their needs. Remaining time left in the appointment slot will be used to start the treatment plan. Appointment times will not be extended

It is the responsibility of the client to keep the Therapist informed of new or existing medical conditions. The medication or treatment plans ordered and written permission by a medical professional overseeing it that allows the massage to be performed.
Please keep your therapist informed of any changes in health.

New Clients should arrive 15 minutes prior to appointment to ensure paperwork is filled out.
Existing Clients should arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to their appointment. This is to help give a more relaxing experience and improve results.

Treatment sessions are set for specific times, unfortunately this prevents us from being able to extend times on scheduled appointments. Late arrival may result in your session being shortened in order to stay on schedule and full treatment time may be charged. In special cases, when the schedule allows, we may be able to accommodate extensions for late arrivals. This will be at our discretion and only with proper advanced warning of a late arrival.

Muscle Music Massage understands that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Car problems, child illness, work related tasks are just a few examples that would prevent you from making your scheduled treatment session.
We do however ask that you call if you cannot make your appointment. Clients who miss their scheduled treatment without prior notification may be charged in full for the scheduled session. For more details, please see the cancellation policy.

Should you need to cancel or schedule please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before scheduled treatment time will be charged half price of all services booked. No shows or cancellations with less than 12-hour notice will be charged in full for all services scheduled.
Unpaid balances must be paid in full before a new appointment can be scheduled. Three no shows will result in being dropped as a client.
We recognize that the time of our clients and staff is valuable and ask that you respect our scheduling times. When you miss an appointment, it deprives our therapists of the business and prevents another client the opportunity of choosing that time for their service.
We will send out text/email reminders prior to your appointment. You are welcome to make any cancellations or changes at that time, so please pay attention to text/emails from us.

To ensure you can get your preferred appointment time we recommend scheduling early to increase likelihood of availability. A credit card is required at time of booking to guarantee your reservation. This information is held as part of our cancellation policies and charges will only occur in circumstances outlined in cancellation policies.
Please inform us of any allergies or sensitivities to aroma or ingredients when you schedule your appointment.

Massage professional are trained in manipulation to normalize the soft tissues of the body. It is intended to help maintain balance of the body and improve body function and client well-being.
Licensed Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe medical conditions or medication. Our therapists may refer you to your medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. Massage is not intended as a replacement for proper medical care specific conditions. Please refer to your medical doctor for any condition that requires medical treatment.

Prior to each session a treatment plan will be discussed with you. You will receive a copy of the massage policies and procedures and be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating you have read, understand the policies and agree to comply with those policies. You have the freedom to ask any questions you may have about the policies or the treatment plan. Clients who have not been see for a year or more may also be asked to fill out this form.

All massage records will be kept in strictest confidence. Only those who require access for a legitimate business or professional reason will have access to them. They will not be released to a third-party including insurance without written consent. Records may be surrendered if required by law.

Our massage therapist will be happy to make any adjustments in pressure, temperature, work on an area for longer or shorter as requested. Feedback from the client about effectiveness, uncomfortable situations, techniques you enjoyed or disliked is very important. Please feel free to share any of this as you become aware of it.
If at any time you feel uncomfortable or have questions about the treatment being performed, we invite you to ask questions. We want our clients to feel comfortable and valued and to understand the treatment they are receiving and why it was chosen.
The client may choose to leave on as much clothing as necessary to ensure their comfort, refuse any methods used or end the massage at any time.
The client will be modestly draped at all times. The only area uncovered will be the area currently being massaged.
If at any time you feel a different therapist would serve you better, please ask for a referral. Your needs and comfort are our top priority, we will not be offended if we can’t fulfill your needs. Some clients and therapists fit and others don’t. There is nothing wrong with this, so please feel free to tell us anytime you feel your needs are not being met.

Sexual interaction or discussion between therapist and client is NEVER appropriate. The session will terminate immediately and client will be responsible for full payment. They will not be rebooked.
Breast and genitalia will not be massaged under any circumstances. Hips and gluteal area will only be worked with permission and can be worked through draping.
We will not massage anyone under the age of 18 unless the parent or legal guardian is in the room and signs the policy and consent form.

All equipment and linens that come in contact with the client will be properly and thoroughly cleaned.
Equipment will be cleaned and linens changed between each client. All lotions, creams and oils will be dispensed from contamination free methods.
Before and after each session the therapist will clean hands and forearms.
Client will inform therapist of any breaks in the skin or rashes of any kind and these areas will be avoided.

It is recommended that the client refrain from use of heavily scented lotions or perfumes. These may react with the lotions, creams and oils that may be used during the session. If you require any special products or have any allergies please let us know. You are welcome to bring your preferred lotion, cream or oil.

Please silence all cell phone and music players before the start of your session. This will help maintain the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere for ourselves and our customers.
